Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about R.L. Black. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
Don’t tell me what I can’t do. ~ John Locke (Lost)
- Your writing process described as a song:
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write to let the dark stuff out, the stuff that eats at me. It has to come out, and writing is the perfect medium because I can hide it—in imagery, characters, and words—and not come off as a total psycho.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
I haven’t been submitting lately because I’ve been working on a novel, so I guess my last publication (besides here at Ink in Thirds) was over at Star 82 Review, where I had two of my erasure poems published: Tangled and I Saw a New Earth
RL Black is EIC of Unbroken Journal and Unlost Journal, and her own writing has been published across the web and in print. When she isn’t editing or writing, she can be found binge watching her DVD collection of LOST.
See you next week with another not-so-typical interview.
