#FeatureFriday – Taylor Eaton

Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Taylor Eaton. Here is our twist on an interview.

  • A quote that inspires you:

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

  • Your writing process described as a song:
  • You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:

Do you ever hear a song and feel so overwhelmed with emotion and daydreams that it hurts a little bit—in a good way—just to keep it all in? That’s how I feel with 75% of the music I hear, the art I see, the conversations I have, the food I eat, and the people I interact with. Writing is my outlet for all the fantasies, weird scenarios, strong emotions, and what-ifs that fill my thoughts every day.

  • What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?

Most of my flash fiction is found on my website. However, if you like fantasy novels, my ongoing serialized draft, Firewalkers, is published over at Channillo.

Taylor Eaton is California native who lives in Southern California. Her work has appeared in various literary magazines, but you can find her flash fiction on her site Little Write Lies and in her collections The Suicide of the Moon and God Gave Me Butterfly Wings.
