Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Clive Tern. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
This is the active version of Don’t Give Up. I like the feeling of forward momentum, the positivity of it reminding that progress is being made.
- Your writing process described as a song:
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
Life is generally less advanced that my youthful reading and watching promised would be the case. No flying cars, no bases on the Moon, or Mars. Writing allows me to address these deficiencies.
Other than that, I love poetry. Especially traditional structured forms. A skilled poet can carry of in a couple of hundred words something another writer will require pages to do. I enjoy the orderly process that writing a structured poem requires, the word by word consideration to ensure you are portraying the meaning you want. I write because when I didn’t, there was less of me.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
Clive is a writer of short stories and poetry who lives in Cornwall, UK. He wanted to an astronaut, but the closest he’s managed is space cadet.
