Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Carl Boon. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
“It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness.” —Tolstoy
- Your writing process described as a song:
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write to examine the notion I hold that the best poem suggests its own futility, that the world will eventually devour and dismiss every word I put down. These are true, but mostly I write because there is always some simmering story, some pain, some truth in the mundane.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
The editors at Two Peach liked this one, called “Post-Accident“
A native Ohioan, Carl Boon lives and works in Izmir, Turkey. His poems appear in dozens of magazines, most recently Two Peach, Jet Fuel Review, Blast Furnace, and Poetry Quarterly.
