#FeatureFriday – Joanne Spencer

Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Joanne Spencer. Here is our twist on an interview.

  • A quote that inspires you:

“Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them.” —Bob Dylan

  • Your writing process described as a song:
  • You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:

Better question is “Why doesn’t everyone write?” In all honesty I believe that every single person has within themselves to write, even if its simply writing in a journal everyday that is shared with no one. Your life, my life, my dogs life, my UPS guys life…they are all lives worth writing about. I am my story, why would I want someone else to write it?

  • What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?

The Tribe Magazine Thank You, George Watsky

Joanne Spencer’s work has appeared in Sick Lit Magazine, Mother’s Always Write, Wildflower Muse, Dying Dahlia Review, Ink In Thirds and, The Tribe. She currently works as a contributing journalist for The Florida Newsline, a reviewer for The Review Review and has published one novel, The Letter Keeper.
