Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Amanda Tumminaro. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
- Your writing process described as a song: Simon & Garfunkel – The Sounds of Silence
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write, simply, because I love to do it. I feel compelled to do it. I feel a great amount of satisfaction when I feel I’ve ‘hit the wording right.’ Sometimes it’s also a therapeutic thing. Sometimes, I’ll feel a great amount of pain, and then I’ll write something, and my whole perspective will change. It helps me.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
“Releasing the Tiger” published in Thrice Fiction.
Amanda Tumminaro lives in the U.S. She is a poet and short story writer and her work has been featured in The Write Launch, The Radvocate, and Cottonwood, among others. Her first poetry chapbook, “The Flying Onion,” will be released through The Paragon Journal in April of 2018.
See you next week, with another not-so-typical interview.
