#FeatureFriday – Voima Oy

Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Voima Oy. Here is our twist on an interview.

  • A quote that inspires you:

  • Your writing process described as a song: Thelonious Monk Quartet – ‘Round Midnight
  • You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:

To be honest, this is a question I have never asked myself; it’s just something I have always done. Thanks to Twitter, I connected with the FlashDogs, and I have grown more confident in sharing my words with others.

  • What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?

Most of my recent things can be found on Twitter–#vss365 and #scififri. You can read a longer story Street of Jaguars at FlashDogs.

Voima Oy lives on the western rim of Chicago, near the expressway and the Blue Line trains. Her writing can be found in the Flash Dogs anthologies, and online at Paragraph Planet, 101 Fiction, Vignette Review, Unbroken Journal, Visual Verse and Molotov Cocktail–FlashWorlds.
