Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Mansoor Syed. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
- Your writing process described as a song: Julian Casablancas+The Voidz – Human Sadness (Official Audio)
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write because I feel like I have to write. Writing helps keep me sane even in the most troubling times. The fall and winter of 2017 was the most miserable time of my life—writing poetry, stories, and songs helped me make it out healthily. I also told some pretty hefty tales in the process of coping. Isn’t that just wonderful?
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
“Passage” was published in Palooka
Mansoor Syed is a student at UGA majoring in Entertainment and Media Studies, but he’s headed for the medicine route regardless. Apart from writing, he spends his free time furthering his musical project, working on his paintings, and collecting and playing old video games.
See you next week, with another not-so-typical interview.
