Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Timothy Gager. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
- Your writing process described as a song: Todd Rundgren -Healing Pt. 2
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write because I can make up worlds which take me out of my head, which is noisy, busy, and needs to be quieted. Writing replaces all that—I can start with nothing and end up with something. I can improve my work and my process at any and all times. It’s a Rubik’s cube solution…my head is all the colored squares.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
“What Kids Are Scared Of” published in Crack the Spine
Timothy Gager is the author of thirteen books of short fiction and poetry. Chief Jay Strongbow is Real (Big Table Publishing) is his first book of poetry in four years. He’s hosted the successful Dire Literary Series in Cambridge, Massachusetts since 2001 and was the co-founder of Somerville News Writers Festival.
See you next week, with another not-so-typical interview.
