Catherine Cates currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She loves the unexpected and nostalgic; images that make the viewer want to take a deeper look and stay awhile. Catherine believes that all forms of art, particularly photographs, tell stories about the human condition and the relationships we have with the world around us. The images are a narrative of who we were, who we are, who we are becoming, and who we’d like to be. More of her portfolio of photographs and art can be viewed on her website.

Roaming California’s Highway 395, Chris Whitney visits his favorite destinations: the Alabama Hills, Bristlecone Pine Forest, Bishop, and Mono Lake, where he hopes to acknowledge these wild places more than being acknowledged for the photographs he creates. When at home, he discovers images in everyday life, especially in his garden.
