Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Richard Manly Heiman. Here is our twist on an interview.
- A quote that inspires you:
- Your writing process described as a song: Pollini Chopin Ballade N.1 in G minor op23
- You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:
I write because an image, a melody, or a still small voice inspires me. I should type all my writing out in hard copy and burn it, in the hope that one angel might read it, and smile.
- What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?
“Still Life with Jigsaw Hearts” published in O: JA&L (Open: Journal of Arts & Letters )
Richard Manly Heiman lives in the pines of the Sierra Nevada. He works in education and writes while the kids are playing on their cell phones. He holds an MFA from Lindenwood, is a two-time Pushcart nominee, and has been published in ten countries, more or less.
See you next week, with another not-so-typical interview.
