#FeatureFriday – Kara Knickerbocker

Take a break, get inspired, and learn a bit more about Kara Knickerbocker. Here is our twist on an interview.

  • A quote that inspires you:

  • Your writing process described as a song: Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song
  • You’re a writer so tell us with your words why you write. But please don’t bore us:

I started writing to remember, to understand. I continue to write not only as an outlet for my own emotions and experiences, but to hopefully connect with someone that, like me, needs to feel something outside of themselves—to be swallowed by real, raw writing that could strike me and yet leave me tender.

  • What is a recent story or poem you’ve had published elsewhere that we should read?

They Told Me” published in Coldnoon

Kara Knickerbocker spends a lot of her time going through airport security lines and writing about the things she is still trying to understand.
